iPad Initiative Teacher Application

Congratulations on being selected to participate in ECISD's iPad Initiative!

You can choose to allow all of your teachers to apply for this project (with the understanding that they would be teaching 2nd grade next year) or you can choose to invite specific teachers to apply. The choice is yours. 

I have also given you access in Google Docs to view the spreadsheet containing all of the responses submitted. 

Deadline for submitting applications is Friday, January 27, 2012.

At the conclusion of the submission period I will compile all of the results and supply you with a hard copy. 

The following is a list of suggestions discussed by Mr. Patterson and Dr. Birney at this morning's Principals' Meeting.

Selected teachers should:

• Be committed to the district
• Be movers and shakers
• Be willing to work collaboratively both on their campus and across campuses (horizontally and vertically)
• Be dedicated to transforming the curriculum
• Be open to new ideas, new ways of teaching, and new ways of learning
• Be prepared to attend extra trainings/meetings (w/o the expectation of a stipend)
• Be open to the possibility of beings asked to "present" at a school board meeting or community event
• Be prepared to expect "visitors" in their classroom next year
